Siksha 'O' Anusandhan (SOA), declared as a Deemed to be University under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, is a leading educational institution in Eastern India. Located in the temple city of Bhubaneswar, Odisha, the university spans over 200 acres of lush green campus, providing an ideal environment for academic pursuit and holistic development.

Research Centers & Facilities

The university has established several specialized research centers including the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Center for Climate Change and Sustainability, Center for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Center for Public Health Research, and Center for Renewable Energy.

Our research infrastructure includes advanced instrumentation facilities with equipment like Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD), Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS), High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer, and a Supercomputing facility with 1.2 Petaflop capacity.

The university has filed over 750 patents, published more than 12,000 research papers in reputed journals, and completed over 350 funded research projects from agencies like DST, DBT, ICMR, AICTE, UGC, and industry partners amounting to more than ₹250 crores.

Admissions 2024-25

SOA University welcomes applications for various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. The admission process is transparent, merit-based, and designed to identify talented students with potential for academic excellence.

Admission Process

Submit online application through the university portal with required documents including mark sheets, certificates, identity proof, and passport-size photographs. Application fee: ₹1,200 for general category and ₹600 for SC/ST candidates.

For most programs, admission is based on national-level entrance exams (JEE Main, NEET, CAT, GATE, etc.) or university-conducted SAAT (SOA Admission Test). SAAT is conducted in 85 centers across India in online mode.

Qualified candidates are called for counseling based on merit. Document verification, choice filling, and seat allotment are done during counseling. Selected candidates must pay the admission fee to confirm their seat.

Scholarships

SOA offers merit-based and need-based scholarships to deserving students. University scholarships cover up to 100% tuition fee waiver for top rankers in national entrance exams. Special scholarships for economically weaker sections, girl students, and sports achievers.
